Hey everybody (meaning those faithful few that haven't given up on the chnce that I might actually blog again). I'm at Michelle's house right now, winding down my tired and stressed self. This is such a perfect place ot refuel. For those of you that don't know, I consider Michelle my mentor. She just seems to exude peace and I have already been encouraged and blessed by this visit.
So what have I been up to to make me so tired and stressed? Well, it really hasn't been all bad. Actually most of it has been good. Just draining. The first part of the summer I earned my Standard First Aid and NLS certifications. Then I went to work at overnight Yonge Street Missions camps. Then I was a counsellor for one week. The stories are many and I don't have patience to type them out. but it was a great experience. The time in between and after was spent catching up with friends and exploring Toronto on my own. I love my city. There is something so free about walking around an almost unfamiliar place and yet knowing where you are going and that you will be ok. I love conquering things, and Toronto was mine this summer. I found so many places that have memories for me- places from school, friends- when I least expected it. Like the Alliance Francais when I was going to church. Ah those wonderful French trips.
So what I really wanted to blog about was my sister the incredibly talented artist. Here is a site that showcases her cartooning skills. I hope I can soon get the link for her other works on here (pastel, ink drawings etc)
