I realize I am shocking you all by updating so often, but I figure since I'm so far away from most of you I should let you know what's going on. A couple weeks ago I helped out at a Talibe centre to treat scabies. That was an experience. Scabies are little mites that burough in your skin and make you itch like CRAZY. We had to paint this special medicine on dozens of street kids. The treatment had to be done for 3 days and I helped out two days. Here is a picture from the first day:

Here I am painting the medicine on. It had to go everywhere, but thankfully I was only assigned to feet :).
I might post more pictures of this later, but I have to downsize the images because they are taking too long to load. Thank you to Mrs. B.I. for the pics! :)
On Tuesday we went to Goree Island, a place where they stored African slaves before shipping them to the Bahamas, the United States and Europe.

We are standing outside the famous "Door of no Return", on the shore where hundreds of people left Africa forever.
If you would like to know more about Goree and it's history, I did an Independant Study Project on Goree last year and I'm going to post my essay from last year on a blog. You can access it by clicking the link called "Atlantic Slave Trade" under "Cool Sites". I'll also include my English essay that talks about the book
Roots, the Amistad event and other slavery issues.
That's all for now.
